Step 4: Include a narration for your document

  • This narration field is important for identifying your description of journal being posted. It can be any field from the document
  • For example, to use document invoice number as the narration, you could use the formula '{document.invoiceNumber:text}'

Step 5: Decide how the document should be exported

(a) Export each row with debit and credit columns from document

  • If this option is selected, the debit and columns extracted will be used for posting

(b) Export each row with total column from document. Debit/Credit logic is configured in Item Options

  • If this option is selected, you can identify the line items you would like to post and even define a Posting Type for the line item
    • Credit
    • Debit
    • Credit and Debit
