Is there a character limit for line item description?

There are no character limits set on bluesheets relating to line item descriptions. The system extracts as is on the document, with exception of the following.

Character limits applicable to export destinations

Some common ones are listed as follows,

• Xero: 255 characters in the 'Description' field of an invoice.
• Xero: 4000 characters in the 'Reference' field of an invoice but the recommended length is 50 characters.
• Quickbooks: Customer, Vendor and Other Names have a limit of 41 characters.
• Quickbooks: Invoice Number field has a limit of 11 characters.

bluesheets trims the fields extracted upon exporting to the destination of choice.
